some people may find it pathetic, but in the past few years since the first Harry Potter book, i have become very attached to the characters in the book. it's like they're real people... like they're my friends. hehe.

anyways, i have griped about the ending of Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince. i know of several people who couldn't really care less about what happened. and i also know of a couple who feel the same way i do. anyhoo---i was surfing the web just now and i stumbled upon this site which kinda gave me hope that what happened was not so bad after all.

thank you to Dave Haber for coming up with this "enlightening" site. :-) it made me smile.

of course, on JK Rowling's official site, she has gone on to say that only she knows what's going to happen and that any theories should be ignored. well... whatever. all i know is that finding Dave Haber's site gave me a glimmer of hope and renewed interest for the upcoming HP book (which most people are saying won't come out until after two years! gah!).

i don't know how i should feel right now...

i really hate having this talent curse of finding things out even when i'm not making any effort at all to snoop around.

i swore to myself that i will not let myself get affected by anything i see, find out or hear. i have told myself countless times that i should stop torturing myself.

like i told a good friend (who's like a li'l bro to me) last night, it really is hard to pretend. i have never been good at pretending. and i am finding it really hard to pretend right now.

when will this ever stop?

on a much lighter note, i attended the BMG reunion last night courtesy of my former boss Mario. :-) he has resigned from BMG after 15 years of service and he has decided to throw a party for all of us former BMG folks, as well as those still with the company.

the party was held at the Summit Lounge of the Holiday Inn Manila Galleria Suites. it was fun reminiscing old times with all of them. i especially missed trec, who i haven't seen for ages. too bad jojo, sancho and diegz couldn't make it. it wasn't the same without them there. there were also people there i don't even know --- they were with BMG way before i arrived.

the night before the party, Mario and i had this text conversation:

Me: So, who's going tomorrow?
Mario: Madami. People I have worked with for the past 15 years.
Me: Oh okay. May A***n T* ba na kasama jan? [###]
Mario: What if meron? ;-)
Me: *shrug* La Lang. Just wanted to know if may haharapin ba akong multo ng nakaraan. Hehe.
Mario: Well... For some freaky reason, the two of you were the first two people to text back when I sent out the invitation. Soulmates talaga! Haha.
Me: Ngek. I don't think I like the sound of that. Hehe. Anyways, see ya tomorrow!
Mario: Be early ha. Para masaya. =)

so there.

it turned out that A.T. decided at the last minute that he wouldnt go. maybe he found out i was going. it's probably for the best. haha. i kinda couldn't imagine what would have happened if he was there.

my ate sent me an MMS of my niece Janaila last night. i was shocked at how she's grown in just a month...

there's this really cute guy at the gym. i have seen him twice. i'd say he works out in the afternoons because that's when i saw him.

anyways, you know how irritating it is to ogle other people while they're working out, right? that's why i don't do it... however, i couldn't help but sneak several glances at him (the really cute guy). i wouldn't be surprised if he'd already noticed me looking at him. haha. he kinda "caught" me a few times. oh well... hehe.

maybe i'd see him again this weekend... hehe. kewl!

speaking of weekend, i'm kinda excited about this upcoming weekend. =) my mates and i have something lined up that's quite... err... you could say... out-of-the-box.

what is it with me and corrupted memory cards?

bah!

my phone's memory card got corrupted again last night and for the nth time, I LOST EVERYTHING! crap.

i know it's really quite mababaw... some people can't even afford to have these things. i am actually grateful that i can afford to buy myself gadgets once in a while... honestly i am! but i just hate the fact that this always happens to me! why does it always happen to me? argh.

anyhoo---i bought a new MMC na. once again it's loaded with stuff. remind me to back my files up lest this damn thing gets corrupted again.

boo hoo.

i slipped.

and i can literally feel myself being sucked back into the habit. bleh.

the first time, i did it because i was disappointed and mighty pissed. it didn't calm my nerves, though, as it was supposed to do. and this fragile thing i was trying to "repair" just snapped again and i'm back to where i started... so i ended up hating myself more afterwards.

the second time, i did it because it just felt right.

the third time, i did it because i ate too much and i felt like i needed it.

the fourth time, i did it because i was bored.



i am beginning to question myself now if i really am capable of quitting... but hey, that was a month! that accounts for something right?

went to Manila Bulletin yesterday for the birthday celebration of MB big boss Emilio Yap III. after the party (where i kinda ate a lot. damn!), we went on a tour of their office just to see how the paper gets printed, etc. it was really interesting. =)

but the best part of all was when we went to the library. i was so amazed at all those racks of newspapers from the 1950s, catalogued and organized. at the urging of ms. badette, i searched for the paper that came out on the day i was born:

a 21-day tour of europe and japan for 21 grand! it's like a thousand bucks a day. haha. sana ganyan pa din ang presyo ngayon. hehehehe.
