One Tequila, Two Tequila, Three Tequila, Floor

Err... no, we did not drink tequila. And none of us actually passed out. That would have been a lot more fun, though. But since we were trying to be responsible adults (and one of us was actually a lolo in disguise), we just had a couple of the Smirnoff Vodka Mix. And erm... iced tea for the lolo. Haha!

It has been a long time since I drank alcohol. I think the last time was Anna's birthday, and before that, I cannot even remember. Considering that I used to be an alcoholic, not having any drink for more than two months is actually surprising.

Bonding in between drinks... that's the best part about drinking.

Check out our crazy pics:

The Saddest Thing

Saying goodbye to anyone is probably one of the saddest and hardest things to do. That's why I never liked saying goodbye.

When I left my previous job, I didn't exactly say goodbye to anyone. Of course my officemates knew I was leaving. That's the thing about news -- it spreads like wildfire. Anyhoo -- there were people I didn't say goodbye to. You see, I was never good at it. And well, I didn't really feel like it because... oh, you know! So I'd much rather just disappear. Be like Houdini and make The Great Escape. So even though I was a little sad at leaving some true friends there, in my heart I was rejoicing. I felt like a bird who was finally been set free.

The time has come for me to pack my bags again. But this time I'm leaving with a much heavier heart.

I like the people I work with a lot and it makes leaving much much harder. I like them so much I had second thoughts about going. Heck, I think I still am having second thoughts.

But as the song goes, "There's no business like showbusiness"...

That's why I'm going back.

I'm not sure yet if I made the right decision. I guess I will never really know until it happens right? Whatever happens, I'll just have to live with it, I guess. No one else made the decision for me.

So there.

I only have a week left with my new friends from TRG.

And I'm really really sad.

------------------------------------
I will miss...

Ms Caren - for being the coolest boss there is. I envy the way you stay calm even in the face of kangaragan. I hope I get to be that way too.

Sam - for being my yosi-mate and partner-in-crime (especially when it comes to picking on Mo! Hehe). I think the affinity we have for music, among other things, brought us closer and made it easier for us to understand each other.

Magy - for being nice and sweet. We never really had the chance to bond but those few times we did, I had a lot of fun.

Shar - for being err...uhm... erm... hehehe. Joke! You're really funny sometimes, you make me laugh. Wehehe. And your taste in music is a plus point too. But please, none of the cheesy boy band types, though. Haha.

Mo - for being my favorite victim! Bwahahaha. You're like my walking and talking stress ball. And I mean that in a good way. =)

------------------------------------

As a "tribute" of sorts, here are the people I'm leaving behind.

Film Fest

Err... no, I don't mean the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival. It's just that I sort of had a film fest of my own (read: movie marathon). It has been quite a while since I watched a movie. I think the last I've seen was Harry Potter.

Anyhoo -- found the time just recently to watch a couple of movies: King Kong, Narnia and Aeon Flux.

Liked them a lot, well... save for King Kong. I guess I expected more since it was a Peter Jackson film. It was okay, I guess.

Next on my list is Underworld 2. Maybe this weekend (that is if I don't have to work...).

Life is grand when there's someone sharing the same interests in movies as you do. =)

Blasts From The Past

I have been meaning to blog about this for a long time now. But work has been getting in the way. Hehe.

Anyhoo---for the past two months, it seemed like I've been sucked back into the past. Like ghosts, bits and pieces of my past have been haunting me. It's really weird. As morbid as it may sound, there are times I think I might be dying. Wahaha. Don't they say that your entire life flashes before you when you're near the end?

Oh well...

First blast came sometime before Christmas. I was on my way to work when I bumped into G. Good thing I got earphones plugged in my ears so I was saved from making conversation. It's not much of a big deal, really. But what the hell do we say to each other? It would've been an awkward moment. And I'd much rather not deal with awkward moments right now. Hah! For the sake of civility, I smiled back at him when he smiled. That should have been enough.

Second blast came at around the same time. I was walking back to the office after getting coffee from Starbucks when I saw C. Almost crashed into him, actually. He came from an ATM booth and wasn't looking where he was going and almost hit me. Bleh. We were never really friends. Just hung out those few times. I think he's married now. I keep on seeing the same girl driving his car.

Third blast came the day before Christmas. I was just breezing through a typical day when I got an SMS from A. Hmmm. He was asking what time I get off work. I replied and the texting continued until the next day (didn't get any sleep, mind you). It's weird how we can talk about what happened with us and just laugh about it. Well, we didn't really laugh... but y'know... it was like... I dunno. Haha. Basta yun.

Fourth blast came sometime December. Can't remember exactly when. I was having lunch with Chito at Strata 2000 when I noticed this guy looking at me as if placing me -- like he knew me from somewhere. I stared back. Then it hit me. He was L, the guy Anna and I used to call Guitarman. He's this guy in college we both used to like. Haha. Funny.

Fifth blast came a couple of days ago when I received a call. But I don't want to dwell on that.

Twisted

I am, once again, twisted.

But in a good way.

I don't know how that can be possible. But it is. =)

I'm twisted up real good.

JM

JM rocks!

Oh... it's not who you think it is. Nope, not at all.

Bad Case of a Broken Heart

Today I'm missing something
In this small (new england) town
Here's to you my best friend
Just wanted to say that I miss having you around

I'm staring at your picture
And dreaming that I could hold your hand
We'd walk down to the ocean
And I would write your name in the sand

They say sometimes you need some time apart
But I've got a bad case of broken heart
And you're the only one who's got the cure
And I can't live another day without seeing you smile

2000 miles between us
And I guess that I'm the one to blame
Relationships and heartaches
These two things are one and the same

The radio plays a love song
I smash my fist right through the dial
Here's to the broken hearted
A generation born in denial
- "Bad Case of a Broken Heart" by The Ataris

Coming across this song couldn't have come at a better time.

Why?

Had high hopes for 2006. Was happier than I could ever imagine. But the demons are back. I thought I killed them off but they're alive... and back with a vengeance.

WHY, WHY, WHY?!?!?!?!?!

Happy New Year!

I know... I know... This post is a tad too late. But I have been literally swamped with work. Not that I'm complaining... Work is good. =)

There are several things to look forward to this 2006:
01. New job
02. New environment
03. New friends (but of course I'm keeping my old friends too... the real ones, mind you)
04. New games... and hopefully new gadgets hehehe
05. A whole new life and new beginnings

And since it's the Year of the Dog, I'm feeling positive about this year. =)

I love dogs and dogs love me. Haha!

I'd love to stay and post some more but there are still some things to be done. Ack!

So there.

Again, happy new year everyone!
