HBTM! =)

As the Skid Row song goes, (I) Woke up to the sound of pouring rain today... oh and the ringing of my mobile phone. I wasn't exactly wasted last night (came from the launch of Absolut Raspberri, where Kuya Arnold was MD, Nathan was PD and Raymond was director -- I have such kewl friends! Hehe). Anyways, as I was saying, I wasn't exactly wasted but succeeding late nights have taken its toll on me. After the launch party kse, we (Alexi, Kuya Arnold, Marlone, Jon & me) went to Eastwood to have dinner (courtesy of Kuya Arnold. Yey!). And so I woke up late this morning. I guess if Anna didn't call to greet me, I probably would still be curled up on my bed.

Nyaha.

Oh well...

It's been raining since I woke up. Looking out the window, I see a gloomy sight. However, as my officemate told me just now, when it rains on your birthday, that is a blessing.

Yey! I am blessed. =)

I have been staring at my monitor for over half an hour thinking of something clever to write about. Or maybe an anecdote that happened to me over the past few days.

But my mind draws a blank.

Because hardly anything ever happens to me now.

All I do is work.

And work.

And... meet up with friends to discuss side projects, which are somehow still considered work.

Oh yeah, I still have the occasional drinks and dinners. But my life is not my own.

Not that I'm complaining.

Or maybe I am... a little.

But work is good. And anything that's good is good enough for me.

Err... well not really. Hehe.

I wish.

But definitely richer than I was a couple of months back.

Aaaah... it feels great. :-)

Sunday Grabe sa Pig-out Sunday

Woke up quite early Sunday morning for the scheduled "pig-out" day with Kuya Arnold. What was most ironic was Kuya Arnold just came from the gym early that same morning. Hehe.

Anyways, at 11.30 am, we found ourselves at Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila for the free buffet thing I had at Seven Corners. Yum! It was sinful, yeah, but well worth it. The best part of it all was it was free! Weeee! Haha.

I've eaten at Seven Corners around ten times since it opened. And every single time, I haven't paid a thing. And I thank the people of Crowne Plaza for that. You guys are the best. Finally found my third home (errr... my second home still remains to be Holiday Inn Manila Galleria Suites). I thank my mates Sir Chris, Mario and Vic V too for the free Seven Corners dinners. Hehe.

Too bad I forgot to take photos of the food selection, as I promised Infinity I'll do. *Whack Jamie!* It must have been the fondue. Or the ice cream teppanyaki. After having those, I almost forgot where and who I was. Haha. It was just sooo good! Maybe next time when I go back there, I'll remember to take photos. I'll make sure I take the pics before starting to eat. Hehehehe.

Trust is hard to give and if someone repeatedly breaks that trust no matter how trivial an issue may be, how are you able to trust that person again?

It's So Not A Date Movie!

Saw Date Movie last Saturday and wasted an hour and a half of my life.

Bleh.

I didn't expect the film to be groundbreaking. Nor did I expect it to be gripping -- filled with twists and turns and a plot that would challenge my brains.

But I didn't expect it to be so bad either.

I thought it was gonna be hilarious, that's why I agreed to see the film.

I thought I was gonna be laughing my pants off and roll on the floor laughing like a loon.

I was never more wrong.

Whatever you do, NEVER EVER watch Date Movie on a date. It's so not a date movie. Not at all.

Me

Whatever anyone says, the best years of my life was when I was in college. There I met real people, real friends and they're all my friends till now.

I met my best friends too in college -- Anna and Weng.

At one point, our little clique grew to five with the addition of Joma and Beeg. Some folks called us the Brady Bunch -- we were always together. We took classes together, cut classes together, laughed and cried together.

Then something happened...

And we found ourselves back to three again.

Fast forward years later and "the power of three" remained strong. Even during times that we didn't see each other nor talk to each other because we were all busy with work and our individual lives, our friendship remained. And when we found each other again, it was like we just saw each other yesterday.

Fast forward a few more years, the clique once again grew. This time to nine. There were Sam, Jon, James, Rogel and Ryan plus us three. Just like before, we were always together for dinner, coffee, drinking sprees, out of town gigs, whatever. It was fun while it lasted. But as they say, "Friendship has a way of ending. No matter how good it is, it always has its time." Not that our friendship has really ended. But y'know, it's just different now.

Then Sir Chris and Nathan came, then Ricio, then Mikko, Mona and Allen. But everytime, it has always been three -- Anna, Weng and me.

But Anna has left the coop. And now, Ricio is leaving too.

Once again, there are only three... but this time it's Sam, Weng and me.

And when the time comes that Sam and Weng decide to migrate after they get married, there will only be me.

All Work and No Play

Work is beginning to take its toll on me. I am now what you call "Babaeng Walang Pahinga". Haha. Even my weekends are booked with meetings and other work-related stuff.

Not that I'm complaining. Work is good. And it's something I like doing anyways. It's just that I am beginning to miss having my weekends free for gimmicks, or maybe just loafing around the house watching DVDs, playing games or sleeping. I am beginning to miss my bed again.

Oh... and it's been a long time since I went to a gig. Bah! Closest thing was when I visited Sandwich on the set of MYX Live the other night. But that was work too... because I had a "meeting" with Rayms.

Anyhoo, I'm excited about this new movie we're doing. It's a horror film and I like horror. That's why I like Stephen King (although he has a lot of non-horror fiction too). I like scaring myself, I guess. Hehe.
