I just had to take a break from everything to blog about this...
Guess who called me just now?
C'mon, make a wild guess!
Wahahahahahaha.
Manilyn Reynes, that's who!
Hahahaha.
Who would have thought that in this day and age, Manilyn Reynes would be calling me. Hahaha. I just can't stop laughing.
Oh and... the other day, it was Maria Isabel Lopez naman.
Hahahahaha.

Short Takes
Just finished another event with Mario and Grace. Although this time, I wasn't able to go physically to the event as I had a whole day set visit for a new movie we're doing. Oh well... this script-writing thing is really fun! Hehe. Although, I think I can only do it for people I like.
As I mentioned earlier, yesterday I spent the whole day in Intramuros for the shoot of the movie 'Eternity' starring Dingdong Dantes, Iza Calzado, Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado. It felt like I was really transported back to the 1800's! Hahaha. Astig!
Tomorrow, I'll be at the Bench Fever thingamajig. We're doing the TV coverage. A lot of my gay friends are so envious! Hehe. Sorry folks! Couldn't get extra tickets anymore.
Monday is a HOLIDAY!!! Woo hoo! Well... at least for people like me who work in Ortigas (Pasig). Yey yey yey! Hooray for Pasig day! =)
Just read in the newspaper that JK Rowling has already admitted that two main characters will die at the end of HP 7. Well... at least for sometime now I've prepared myself should Harry die. I mean, c'mon...
***SPOILER ALERT***
...after killing off Sirius in Book 5 and Dumbledore in Book 6, she might as well kill Harry off then. It won't be a big surprise, really.
***END OF SPOILER***
Haven't yet seen Superman Returns. Can't say I'm really interested to see it. Never liked Superman. I think Batman is more super than the man of steel.
Oh... did I mention I'm back to the old habit? Yeah... sad but true. But just can't kick it off.
As if you didn't know me... I say crappy things all the time. And I end up saying the crappiest thing especially when I'm feeling bad... even when I don't really mean them. And more often than not, I end up regretting it.
You know that, right?
For whatever it's worth, I really apologize for all the crappy things I said. And I apologize for being crappy myself.
Like I told you... at this point, I can stand other people getting pissed with me but not you, man. Not you.
I'm so damn sorry.
And this time, I mean what I say.

Lost in Dracula's Realm
Thanks to Trec, I am currently addicted to this online riddle thing called DRACULA'S RIDDLE. Try it. It's fun. But irritating sometimes.
Only at Level 6 now.
I think you won't see much of me in the next few days.
Wahahaha.

A Series of Blasts from the Past
Spending a lot of time with BMG peeps lately.
Textmates now with Ely Buendia.
Saw Arvin of Abztract Dancers (yeah, I know kamasahan. Haha). Had a nice little chat. It seems I'd be seeing more of him now that he works at Crowne Plaza.
Re-discovered Neopets. Weeeee! Oooh... what fun! Lots of new games are in the site too. Yey! (I remember how we used to be addicted to Neopets in BMG. Golly, I'm a Neopian millionaire, mind you! Haha).
Saw Gward and he apparently already has a kid. Ayuz!
Saw Wency Cornejo at the 6cyclemind anniversary gig. Missed him. In between hugs and kisses, he says he missed me too! Weeee. 14 years too late, man! Haha.
Wency, Arnold (Cabalza) and Raimund (Marasigan) jammed with 6cm during their anniversary gig. Astig! Haha. Brought me back to my UP days. Wency sang "Mangarap Ka" then Arnold joined them on stage for "Next In Line", where Wency had Chuck sing the last line. Haha. Raims jammed on the drums for "Sugod", which Tutti sang and then he sat on the keyboards for "Alapaap". Ansaya! Congrats to 6cyclemind on your fifth year! To Darwin -- Iba ka! =)

Aila at 1
Today, my niece Aila celebrates her first birthday. =)
Her party was a day early, though. It was held yesterday at Bounce, this new place along Ortigas Avenue, where kids literally go crazy (what with all the inflatable toys and such).
Yes, the little ones really go bonkers at Bounce, as you can see from this photo.
And this.
Mario and Grace, who organized the party for my sister, were laughing like loons just like me at the sight of all these kids running around like all hell broke loose. It was a funny sight to behold. Hehe.
My sister wanted a 'Disney Babies' theme for her firstborn and that's what she got.
Of course, a Disney party will not be complete without a Hidden Mickey, which Grace creatively set-up for Mario and me.
Which Mario thought was a half-naked woman sun-bathing from this angle.
In between eating ice cream, cotton candy, and all those things that kids love, Mario, Grace and I busied ourselves with doing one of the things we do best. Okray! Haha. Well... there was this certain person there who deserved our okray and more. The opportunity was just too hard to pass up! Wahahahaha.
Anyhoo -- something was quite out of place in that little wonderland that day. In one corner of Bounce, I saw this and I knew I just had to share it to the world. Haha.
Upon closer inspection, the sign on the scooter reads...
Seriously? A rechargeable scooter? Man! That's hilarious. I can just imagine it. You're riding merrily when you hear that low battery beep (just like in mobile phones) and you whip out your charger while searching for an electrical socket.
Wahahaha! Major laugh trip.
But I digress.
Alvin had a photo mosaic done for Aila.
Which made me want to make one for myself too. Kahit trip lang. Haha.
Almost everyone said Aila looks like me.
Hahaha. What a lucky kid! Hee hee.
Even her mood swings is so Jamie!

Coldplay or No Coldplay?
Last Sunday, I (think) I saw a TV commercial saying that Coldplay will be coming to Manila in July and that Hale will be the front act.
Now I don't know if I got the info all muddled up pero nakita ko ang nakita ko! (line borrowed from Iya in Pamahiin).
I sure as hell wasn't on drugs. And I was wide awake, so I'm sure it wasn't a dream.
Texted Quark about it but he has no news yet as we speak.
So there. Whatever. If Coldplay is coming, well then good. If not, then it sucks. But at least I wouldn't have to spend big bucks! Haha. Kidding.
Speaking of watching TV last Sunday... I did something I don't normally do. I watched SOP and ASAP, alternating between the two channels. Wahahahaha!
Anyhoo---I was really just supposed to watch SOP because it was "PasiklaBAND". But I checked out ASAP during the commercial break and whenever Rufa Mae was on on SOP, because she's such a dumb host and I cringe everytime she tries to deliver her spiels. Stupid pakse sinalang sya as host during an all-band episode. Ano ba?Kakairita. Ang tatanga ng questions and comments nya about rock music and the bands.
Aside from the following glitches (1)Sandwich was nominated for Breakthrough Band >> an award given to rookies in the band scene (LIKE DUH! HELLO?!?!?! WHERE HAVE THE JUDGES FOR THIS AWARD THING BEEN? SANDWICH IS NOT A ROOKIE! DEFINITELY NOT!!!); (2)the mere presence of Cueshe in the show; and (3)the sudden cut to commercial because Pupil wasn't ready, my Sunday viewing experience was (for lack of any other word) fun. Haha.
But I'm not sure if I can do that again.
To Err Is HUMAN
And a HUGE HUGE HUGE error it is for Human to get Cueshe as its endorser.
YAKKK!!!

Bits & Pieces
Funny... X-Men 3 is literally X3 for me because I watched the movie three times. Wahaha. I believe it's not exactly the last stand. (1)Professor X is not really dead; (2)Magneto's powers still exist albeit very faint; (3)the Bobby-Kitty-Rogue triangle was established but wasn't exactly closed.
Finally finished Lost Season 2 (thanks to Limewire!). This show is really amazing. Discovering the different connections between all the characters is leaving me more and more confused every minute and I love it. Hehe. I still think they're all patients in a mental institution and the island is all a hallucination. Haha! I just wish Season 3 starts soon.
Met a psychic. All I can say is he told me something that validates a long-time hunch. And it's really funny.
Film Crazy
Have been watching movies like crazy lately. Can't get enough of 'em for some reason. Anyhoo -- there are A LOT of upcoming movies I'm looking forward to... Here they are:
As if we're not saturated enough with all the singing competitions and talent searches on television. Haha! Chris Kline is enough reason for me to watch this film. And since I have begun to love Hugh Grant too, he's another reason! Hehe. =)
Yihee! They're back! Weeeee.
Major laugh trip! Bwahahaha. Sure wish this remote control is for real. I'd love to own something like it!
Yay! Another animation! =)
Your typical chick flick. I do get moments when I like watching movies like these.
Have been waiting forever for this movie to get shown. Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait!
Yeah... I'm a sucker for romance stories sometimes too. =)
About time they make another movie for us metalheads. =)
Rory Cochrane left CSI Miami to concentrate on making movies again. Not sure if this is the first he's done since he left CSI but I sure am looking forward to it. As always, his role is a junkie. Haha. What makes this film more interesting is the fact that although it was shot like a normal live action film, it was transferred into animation, which then makes the animated characters more real. It's like watching a graphic novel! Check out their site at A Scanner Darkly. There are lots of things to do there, which are really quite interesting. =)
Another music film! Ilike! =)
I don't really like Superman but I'm curious about this film. I'm a Batman person. I feel he's more real.
James Franco! Weeeee!
Saw the trailer last night and felt like bawling my eyes out. Trailer pa lang yun ha! My golly. This is showing in America already next week, I think but it'll be shown here in Manila in October. Shet, tagal!

J
Got this meme from Con. Basically, what you need to do is make a comment and I'll assign you a with a letter from the alphabet. Then you have to post 10 items beginning with that letter on your own blog and explain why you chose those words and what they mean to you.
Since Con assigned me with the letter J, here are my ten J's, in no particular order.
01. Jamming. A frustrated band member, that's what I am. Aside from the keyboards, I cannot play any other musical instrument. And that really sucks. That's why I just do the closest thing... attend jamming sessions of my friends who have bands. Or better yet, watch their live gigs. (Which I don't get to do much anymore. Crappy).
02. Juts. Those were the days. Fun, fun, fun.
03. Jason Lee. One of my all-time favorite actors. He's not major Hollywood superstar material like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise, but I wouldn't trade Jason Lee with any of them! He's one of the funniest and coolest actors ever.
04. Jessica Zafra. My idol. When I was in high school, I wanted to be like her. Hell, I wanted to be her. One of the reasons why writing remains to be one of my passions. The other one, of course, is Stephen King.
05. J.K. Rowling. If not for her, there will be no Harry Potter.
06. JRR Tolkien. The master storyteller.
Note: Seems like I'm just enumerating authors/writers here. Hahaha!
07. Jagged Little Pill. The soundtrack to my life story.
08. Jealous. Synonymous to me. Enough said.
09. Jaded. I'm at this point in my life when I'm just too "J-j-j-jaded" about everything. I guess I have always been fatalistic, but even more so now.
10. Journal. Isn't it obvious? I'm addicted to writing. Hence, I'm addicted to keeping journals (whether online or not). Shet, pilit na pilit. Haha! Seriously... I do keep several journals, aside from this blog. Sometimes when I feel like it, I just write on scraps of paper and keep these in a box. La lang. I'm weird that way, I guess.
There you go.
Meme done.

Practicing My Math
I haven't touched a ciggie for eight days now... and still counting.
As Sam would say, "Good. Keep counting. Practice your math. Do multiplication after."
Right.
Haha.
Anyhoo, I don't want to finalize anything lest I eat my words afterwards. But I think I'm really quitting this time. Yeah. For real.
Why the sudden decision, you ask?
Let's just say I had a close call and saw bits of my life flash before me. In between hospital admittance, expensive meds and bouts of unconsciousness, I figured I had nothing to lose if I kick the habit. But a lot to gain if I do.
And even though I always say I am not afraid of dying, I guess at the end of the day, I am not yet prepared to go.
As my gay friends would say, "Kabog kung kabog." This is one wake-up call that has really rendered me wide awake.
