Had a blast at the Pulp Summer Slam yesterday! =)

My feet and my legs actually hurt right now from standing (and jumping) the whole time. Hehe.

I was with Hanz and Rose. Darwin and the rest of the boys from 6cyclemind picked us up and we arrived at Amoranto stadium around 5:30 pm. The place was already packed when we got there, as you can see from the following pics:





Funny side note: There's like an elevated area at the side of the stadium (if you've been to Amoranto, you know what I'm talking about). Anyways, the incline's around 35 to 40 degrees. Most of the bands were hanging out there and we figured we'd get a nice view of the crowd from there. So we followed 6cyclemind there and sat there for a while. The "climb" was easy... but when we got to the top, we realized that going down was a bit of a problem. You see, the ground was sort of slippery and since all of us were wearing sneakers (save for Rose and Rye who were wearing slippers), we were all sliding down. Okay, so... at one point, I was slowly inching my way down when I almost fell. Haha. I had to hold on to the railing for dear life and was sort of just dangling there laughing my ass off. Ney couldn't help me up because he was laughing so hard. Eventually, Rye and their bassist (whose name I forgot) came to my rescue and helped me up on my feet. Then Ney found a piece of rope, which held the giant inflatable Red Horse cap and we had to rappel our way down. It was hilarious, really.

Anyhoo---a lot of artists were there. Those I saw were Spongecola, Agaw Agimat, POT, Kamikazee, Itchyworms, Kitchie Nadal and of course, 6cyclemind.

Blow was there too. Yeah, Blow with Diether Ocampo (:::::cringe:::::). If there's anything Diether has got, it's G-U-T-S. Summer Slam has a rock crowd. A poser such as he is has no place there! The moment I found out that he was gonna perform, I knew he was gonna get slammed. Good thing the stage was covered with net (I found out later that Pulp has done that for two years, in order to protect the artists from projectiles coming from the crowd)... If there wasn't any net there, Diether would probably be in the hospital now for stitches. Mineral water bottles were thrown at him from every direction. Some of the bottles even had liquid in them. I just hope water or beer was inside and not pee because Diether got really drenched... the net offered protection from the bottles but not from the liquid inside them.

In fairness to Blow, their material's quite okay. I don't really like it but it's okay... Puede na, so to speak. Wawa naman sila. They were the only band who got really dissed. Half the crowd were giving them the dirty finger all throughout their set.

After 6cyclemind's set, they had to rush since they've got two more gigs that night. We (Me, Rose and Hanz) stayed on. But after POT, we got bored. We were waiting for Kjwan and Bamboo but from the sequence guide we saw, they were scheduled around 12:30am. Yikes. We were kinda starving already and we had to pee (we couldn't bring ourselves to pee in the portalets), so we decided to leave. By that time, Darwin told me that they'll be at Eastwood by 11pm and if we wanted, we could go with them again. So we did.

After having dinner at Something Fishy (again!), we went to the Fuente Circle where the Levi's event was going on. Blue Ketchup, Milk N Money, Hale and Urbandub were there. Astig! So was 6cyclemind and Sugarfree. Yahoo! I was all strung up that time and finally had the chance to have my picture taken with Ebe. Yey! I saw him at Summer Slam earlier but didn't have the guts then to ask him for a pic. Hehe.

So there. We stayed at Eastwood until around 2:30am. We hung out with the band and later had coffee with Darwin and his sister Tracy. The band had to leave by then since they have an early gig the next day (today).

All in all, I had a fun time! Except that my feet and legs really hurt until now.
